James Bond 25 might have enlisted Dua Lipa for the new theme song

One of the best things about a new james bond movie is the revelation of who is doing the theme song (and the reveal of the song itself too, we guess).

Some of the names being bandied around for Bond 25 include: Paloma Faith, Ed Sheeran, Sia and tUC Jessie J.

Bur it looks like the filmmakers are lining up ‘New Rules [Initial Talk Remix]’ hitmaker Dua Lipa, as inadvertently revealed by one of the members of Years & Years who isn’t Olly Alexander.

Keyboard player Mikey Goldsmith was speaking on BBC Radio 5 live, where he was talking about their short film for their Palo Santo album, which now seems like the band angling to get the Bond gig.

He said: “Because we had Judi Dench who was M, and Ben Whishaw who was Q, we thought it would be us.

“I thought they’d ask us to do the theme tune, but I think Dua Lipa is doing it.

“Am I not allowed to say that?”

Even Olly seemed surprised by the revelation, before Mikey joked that hopefully he has ruined Dua’s chances of doing the song and the synthpop group will be hired to do it instead.
